Suzanne looked upon her family with a warm sense of happiness ... her husband (the philandering bastard) looking so smug with his new toy boat ... the two girls (sniveling little witches) already scheming on how to monopolize the day's events ... her poor son (heart-breakingly effeminate) trying to please his father.
She would pretend to be furious at herself ... needing to run back to the house (the thought of the gardener's bronzed body pressing against hers giving her a little shiver) to get the lemonade. Knowing the piggish rutting of Mike (look at him caressing the engines, something she never got) and the kids would ensure that the poisoned bunt cake would be gone as soon as she left.
By the time anybody noticed she would be across the border (for a moment she wondered about if Manuel's mother would accept her ... then again, everyone loves cake!).
